Our flavours explore a culture or marry two - French and Indian cooking, lending heritage to innovation. And it all started with our founder, Stephanie Peters, sharing the delight of a pastry.
From training with Michelin star restaurant, The Chester Grosvenor, and being a stagiaire at high-end bakeries in London to now being featured amongst the best small food producers on Channel 4 - Stephanie has got heart and skill.
Our vision is to nurture a strong and vibrant community around our food - witnessing the joy of foodies biting into baked pastries fresh from our oven, partnering with local farms and suppliers and putting Chester on the world food map.

In the press and people’s hearts
I pop in to Pastry Pédaleur each time I visit Chester Indoor Market. Steph is a passionate baker and she does the old staples like traditional brownies, macarons and cheese cake extremely well. But what really keeps me going back is her interesting take on fusion desserts : there’s something new to try every week. Would recommend to anybody in Chester with a sweet tooth or a taste for French dessert.
A little bit of paradise hidden in Chester Markets. Pastry Pédaleur is a must to visit. Excellent pastries and cakes are absolutely out of this world. You won't be disappointed. Banana Brulee, Brownies, Croissants, Canele are just a few of the excellent things baked there. I love this stall its my favourite place to visit when in Chester.
Irrefutably the best baked goods in Cheshire, hands down… Not only is the quality as close to perfect as any human being is capable of (which is no surprise when you find out about all of the training that Stephanie has taken, including with Paul Hollywood) but there has never been a better example of ‘service with a smile’!
